Candace (Candy) was born in New Orleans in 1951. Her formal training began at Louisiana Tech University in Rome, Italy. She earned her BA in Art Education with a minor in Fine Arts. Her masters was later earned from The University of New Orleans in Drama with the emphasis on Technical theater.
For 35 years her set design company, Candy Designs, Inc.,has designed and created sets for shopping centers, films such as “Interview of a Vampire” and sets for The Faberge` Exhibit and The Jefferson-Napoleon Exhibit at the New Orleans Museum of Art.
In 2001, she decided to study oil painting under Auseklis Ozols at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts till 2009. She has been awarded the Edward Hopper Award from the Academy in 2008.
